Advantages and Disadvantages of Online Degree Programs

Certainly there are disadvantages to the virtual classroom format, as there are with the traditional classroom format. The advantages outweigh those negatives, however, allowing the Internet to assist in bringing high-quality education to a greater number of people, and in a wider range of socioeconomic demographic groups. It allows the "late bloomer" adult or the mid-life career-changer the freedom to pursue new interests, and to gain the degrees necessary for securing positions in which their years of practical work experience can be of benefit to greater numbers of people.
